Congratulations to Ben Bayless for his outstanding performance at the OHSAA State Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at National Trail Raceway. Ben ran a personal record (16:19.5) over the 5K course to finish in 19th place out of 180 competitors. Ben became the first male athlete in Indian Hill cross country history to earn a cross country State Championships medal. Great job Ben!

Saturday, October 28, Emily Sheard boarded the school van with her entourage of teammates as she was the only Lady Brave running in the Regional Championship meet. Saturday was Emily’s 4th appearance at the Regional meet, and she embraced the opportunity to make a great memory for herself. She raced hard, passing runners the entire race, and she crossed the finish line with a smile. Emily, thank you for your 4 years of dedication to the Indian Hill cross country program!

On October 21, 2017, the Running Braves traveled to the Voice of America Park to complete in the District Championship meet. The gentlemen raced first, and for the 5th consecutive year, they earned the title of District Champions. Ben Bayless ran a personal record over the 5K course and earned the title of District Runner of the Year. He was followed by the personal record performances of Johnny Giroux (3rd), Nolan Heffernan (4th), Joe Murdock (15th), Tommy Tauer (17th), Nicolas Hollander (28th) and Bradley Corl (29th).
