The Indian Hill girls varsity tennis team has now won 9 of their last 10 matches after victories over Lakota East and Oakwood this week.

Varsity has been successful despite the loss of players due to injuries and college visits during our first six weeks of matches.

Senior Julia Yingling will be back with the team tomorrow and we should be at almost full strength at that point.

The only remaining injured Brave unavailable to the team at this point is Saskia Gobonya.

Freshman Samantha Pregel has given a big boost to IHHS varsity tennis this season winning 4 of her 5 matches so far at the #3 singles position. Samantha has improved so much during the past year as she dedicated herself to putting in the hard work and long hours in practice, as well as competing in USTA tournaments throughout the Midwest. Her talent is obvious and her ceiling is really high, which may not be surprising since Samantha's brother Andrew will again play #1 singles for the Braves. Andrew Pregel will be one of the top couple of players vying for a State Singles Championship next May.

Gracey Hirsch and Hayley Hirsch are the top 2 players on the IHHS girls varsity tennis team that is ranked #2 in the State.
These two talented sisters consistently contribute victories over the top players throughout the Cincinnati area.

Last year, Gracey and Hayley were named 1st-team All Ohio and they have an achievable goal of finishing the year as the High School State Champions. More importantly, Gracey and Hayley are the clear leaders of our varsity team not only because they are our best players at IHHS, but also because they are looked upon as role models for out entire tennis program.
