All 7 Braves players competing in this week's Sectional advance to the District tournament

The Indian Hill girls varsity tennis team are currently ranked #2 in Ohio and improved their record to 13-4 this week with wins over Loveland and Taylor. Even more impressively, all 7 Braves players competing in this week's Sectional reached at least the semi-finals to advance to the District tournament to be held at the Western & Southern ATP Tennis Center on 10/12 and 10/14.

Julia Yingling and Nina Price showed their extensive varsity experience in reaching the Sectionals final round match and will aim to reach the District Championship finals next weekend. Yingling and Price have played varsity tennis since their very first day as freshman at IHHS. They are undoubtedly one of Southwestern Ohio's most formidable doubles tandems.

The outstanding doubles sister combination of Gracey Hirsch and Hayley Hirsch continue to obliterate opponents and are the reigning District Doubles Champions. Last year, Gracey and Hayley were both named to the 1st team All-Ohio doubles and they are hoping for the chance to compete in this year's State Championship finals. Also, advancing to the District singles tournament is this year's Sectional champion Samantha Pregel along with teammates Jessie Budde and Madeline Major.

Next Monday, the Braves will travel to Dayton to play Chaminade-Julienne as we attempt to reach the State Final 4 of the team tournament. Keys to a victory over Chaminade-Julienne will be the doubles play of Nina Price-Julia Yingling and the team of Jessica August-Jessie Budde.

Thanks everyone for your support of girls varsity tennis and please know it is appreciated.
