Brafford Battles Blue Devils

Junior Seth Brafford hurled 6 shutout innings for Indian Hill’s 2nd round Ohio High School State Tournament victory over the Reading Blue Devils at Indian Hill on Thursday afternoon.

Brafford used just 85 pitches (52 for strikes) in scattering just 3 hits and 2 walks during his masterpiece.

Joe Oakes pitched a scoreless 7th for the victorious Braves.

Indian Hill’s offense only generated 6 hits and 3 walks.

A timely rbi single by Brafford opened the scoring in the 4th for the Braves.

Indian Hill added 3 more in the 5th with an RBI single by senior Max Sweeney and a 2 rbi smash from the red hot bat of Andrew Brockoff.

Catcher Chandler Harris threw 2 would be Reading base stealers out trying to take 2nd. Harris also contributed a double on the day.

Indian Hill advances to round 3 of the playoffs on Thursday May 18 at Oak hills at 5pm against #1 seeded New Richmond.

New Richmond shut out Goshen 6-0 to advance and play the Braves.
