Boys Varsity Tennis Continues Competitive Play

Indian Hill continues their season with another CHL conference win against Mariemont (IH now 2-0 in conference) along with wins against Walnut Hills and Sycamore B.

They also went on the road on Saturday, April 15th and played KY top teams Louisville St. X and Trinity, losing in close 3-2 competitive battles in both of those matches. Their record is now 6-4, with playing a very competitive schedule against several very strong non local teams.

The Braves defeated Mariemont 5-0, giving up only 2 games total with Junior Andrew Pregel, Sophomore Mack Ellis, and Freshman Anay Guatham sweeping singles, while Senior Christiano Lima/Junior Maanas Pisati and Senior Pablo Guzman/Junior Richard Guam swept both doubles.

The Braves also defeated Walnut Hills, 4-1 and Sycamore B 3-2. Against Walnut Hills, Pregel, Lima, and Pisati won in singles and Gautham/Guam won at 2nd doubles. Ellis/Guzman lost in a competitive match at 1st doubles. Against Sycamore B, Lima won in 3 sets at first singles, Senior Milan Bhandari lost in 3 very close sets at 2nd singles, and Gautham lost but played a close 2nd set at 3 singles. Both doubles teams of Pisati/Guzman and Senior Mrinal Singh won their matches.
On Saturday, April 15th the Braves traveled to Louisville, KY and battled two top ranked KY teams closely, losing 3-2 in each match. Winning against Louisville St. X were Pregel at 1st singles and Lima/Bhandari at 1st doubles. Gautham at 3rd singles and Ellis/Guzman at 2nd doubles lost in matches that came down to 3rd set super tiebreakers. Winning against Trinity were Guatham at 3rd singles and Pisati/Guzman at 2nd doubles.
The Braves gear up for 4 more matches this week against Seven Hills, Finneytown, Madeira, and their first State Team match vs. Oakwood away in Dayton.
